There is simply nothing more appealing to drivers today than the sweet assurance of fewer stops at the pump. This is why Terry’s Ford is truly thrilled to offer Bradley and Peotone drivers the Ford Fusion Hybrid. Stylishly designed to offer a sporty sedan ride with superior fuel economy and power conservation, the Fusion Hybrid made its debut in the US in 2009 as a 2010 model. Considered a “full” hybrid because it can run on either gas or electric alone, the Fusion Hybrid was created to provide optimal fuel efficiency for everyday life.

The First Generation Ford Fusion Hybrid

Based on the zippy, fun-to-drive, family sedan, the Ford Fusion Hybrid cruised along with a 2.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine partnered with two battery driven electric motors and a continuously variable transmission. This system utilized a concept known as regenerative braking to convert the movement of the vehicle back to electricity to then be stored in the batteries. The stored energy can be put to use, allowing this snappy sedan to cruise along on battery power alone for two miles at a speed up to 47 miles per hour. The use of battery and electric give this ride an eye-popping EPA-estimated 41 city/36 hwy mpg.

Upon its debut in 2010, the Fusion Hybrid cruised along in just one level of trim, but offered a plethora of standard features. Rear parking sensors, leather-wrapped steering wheel, eco-friendly cloth seating, satellite radio, and keyless-entry topped the list of standard treasures while options such as sunroof, rearview camera, and navigation were available as well.

The New Generation

The 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid is fully redesigned and begins a new generation for this popular hybrid. Featuring a new grille and a refined yet sportier exterior, the Fusion Hybrid features a new 2.0L 4-cylinder that grabs a jaw-dropping EPA-estimated 47 mpg, whether you are cruising around the city or traveling on the highway. Sill offered in a single trim, SE, the Fusion Hybrid picks up new treats such as MyFord Touch, USB and iPod connectivity, and automatic headlights, as well as a host of new options such as rear spoiler, driver memory settings, rear cross-traffic alert, and more.
