  • S Sedan: Starting at $17,170, this model comes with AdvanceTrac electronic stability control for enhanced traction, and a 6-way driver’s seat to keep you comfy during long trips.
  • SE Sedan: Starting at $18,460, the SE Sedan upgrades convenience with cruise control and adds a six speaker sound system.
  • SE Hatch: Starting at $18,960, this model combines the features of an SE Sedan with the practicality of a hatchback and comes with a rear spoiler for enhanced aerodynamics.
  • Titanium Sedan: Starting at $23,170, this model is the ultimate in sedan comfort, with dual-zone temperature control, leather trimmed seats, a Sony audio system with 390 watts of power, 10 speakers, and a rear subwoofer.
  • Titanium Hatch: Starting at $23,670, drivers can enjoy Titanium luxury with the added perks of a hatchback.
  • ST: Starting at $24,370, the ST is a high performance Focus, which provides an exhilarating drive from its 2.0L EcoBoost engine.

The 2015 Mazda3 adopts a one-size-fits-all approach in terms of body, offering only a sedan layout. Five trim levels are obtainable, starting with the $16,945 iSV – which offers cloth trimmed seats and air conditioning – and working right up to the S Grand Touring $25,045 – pricier than both luxurious Titanium models and the race-inspired Focus ST.

Power and Efficiency

2015-ford-focus-interior11.jpgThe 2015 Ford Focus comes with a standard 2.0L Ti-VCT engine, which provides Chicago and Manteno drivers with 160 hp. An optional 1.0L Ti-VCT EcoBoost I-3 motor with start/stop technology is available, as well. It delivers 30 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway.

The ST Hatch is a different story. This is a model for adrenaline addicts who want every drive to be memorable. Fitted with a 2.0L EcoBoost I-4, it puts you in control of 252 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.

The 2015 Mazda3 is inferior when it comes to standard power, available power, and maximum efficiency. The standard 2.0L SKYACTIV-G engine provides 155 hp, while upper level trims deliver just 184 hp with the 2.5L SKYACTIV-G motor. That’s close to 100 hp less than the Focus ST trim. In the Mazda3, mileage peaks at 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

Interior Versatility

2015-ford-focus-interior12.jpgSince the 2015 Ford Focus is available as a hatchback, you can expect a substantial amount of room, as well as the flexibility to configure storage space to fit your needs. Even the sedan models enjoy a roomy 13.2 cubic foot trunk, but the hatchback’s folding seats allow you to access 23.8 cubic feet as standard, and 44.8 cubic feet when the second row is folded down.

Drivers of the 2015 Mazda3 will enjoy no such convenience. Each model comes with a static 12.4 cubic feet of cargo volume – lower than you’ll find in the Focus’ sedan models. If you need to haul a bigger load, you’ll be taking more than one journey.
